This is a drawing of my lurcher BobbieSox. it is 75 x 56 cms, graphite on beautiful 425 gm paper.
She moved soon after I started, then moved again, so she has 6 legs, but I really liked the drawing and did not feel that it mattered, in fact I feel that it just re-states what she is like, very leggy, with long claws. I entered this for the Jerwood Prize. I think it was accepted, but not hung, hey ho. The floating hill is the 4th or 5th in a series I did after driving past a Somerset mump, near Cheddar. I caught this dark sharp out of the corner of my eye, went home and drew it, then drew it some more and then let it float up.![]()

Hello drawinglady, I have come to visit your site as a consequence of starting my own blog in the last few days. That is a great drawing of a lurcher, and I liked (a lot) your description of the effects of snow too, elsewhere.
My blog is lurcher/Saluki centred + odd other stuff. Will this message take you to it? I don’t know, I too am a 100 yrs behind on this.
all best (is this the right sign-off
